Simple gift card pillow boxes

I’ve been dreading school ending for my boys, I never know what to do, give or make.  This year I bought them gift certificates to a local school supply store to give back to the classrooms.

Step 1

I printed out a sheet from Deena’s Boardwalk Papers and used a piece of kraft cardstock as well. Once I cut out my shapes on your cutting machine, using the Pillow box die cut I gathered all my supplies.

Step 2

I took my cut outs and folded them at all of their joints and ran my glue along the overlap to seal them.

Step 3

Once I had them all folded I embellished my Pillow boxes.  I chose to work with letter stickers, ink, stamps, washi and a journalling pen.

Step 4

Last I closed my boxes up by popping down the tabs at the ends.  I also added some basket stuffing to help hold the gift cards in place.

To wrap these up the boys are going to write a note on a journalling card for their teachers.  This could easily be adapted for any gift card for any occasion!
