March Design 365 Layouts + my creative space

Deena's office

Wow, have I been busy.  Working on a brand new line for My Mind's Eye with Jen Allyson is so amazingly fun and fulfulling, but completely exhausting.  My office space was full of stacks of inspiration and ideas…as well as many empty diet coke cans waiting to be taken to the recycle bin.

I was more than happy to accept the offer from my good friend (and new jewelry design collaborator), Allison Dayton when she offered to pick up this great new set of drawers from Ikea for me.  I couldn't wait to take a break from designing and get my creative space looking like a spot I could actually create in.

Oh, how I love my little inspiration nook.  In the rest of my home, I love clean lines and non-cluttered surroundings, but in my space I love having little knick-knacks of inspiration everywhere: postcards from my European study abroad, my notebook collection, my guitar, words of inspiration and more.

Tanisha Sanson - It’s nice to have an organized office space and having that set of drawers. I like how you arranged all your materials there. My sister in Charlotte, NC loves collecting different vintage items in her office and doesn’t mind getting all the pieces scattered around the place. I guess it’s just how artists do their thing. Hehe!
